When The Levee Breaks - Memphis Minnie

I tried to give it a personal twist but it's hard to steer away from the original and Ari Eisinger's version
I'm playing a 1927 Supertone

Very impressive, Carl. And an appropriate guitar, too, as Minnie was undoubtedly singing about the 1927 flood on the Mississippi. Indeed, I recently came across a quote in the box on the top of the Weenie Campbell page to the effect that the river's flow in those floods was about three times as heavy as in the devastating 1993 floods, whose amazing aftermath I saw while doing work for a client in St. Louis. The '27 flood must have been something to sing about for years after.

Really fine performance, Carl.

to be fair to Minnie's partner Kansas Joe McCoy, he's the one singing on the original version of this song.
