Booked and ready to go...

We may well see Harvey/Andrew this year.  He has presumably booked the wrong dates again (as he did last year) but the change will mean that he's booked the correct dates after all :-)

Excellent, nice to see you all paying attention - doubtless Harvey will get right in the end and Prof you'd better get better as well!

Now, any weenies around Bristol next Tuesday (21st) are welcome to a jazz gig I'm doing at The Orchard, BS1 6XT

Jostber, read back through this thread for info - basically weenies get together for fun, drinkies and to make some music for a weekend, you are more than welcome.

Thanks, Richard. I'll check if I can make this one. Sounds like fun and good music will be guaranteed.

I'm sure we all appreciate they do need the money especially as the place has suffered a bit in the floods, actually though that might improve the decor !!!

LOL, good to see you're back in the saddle Richard!

I have just booked. Yet again, Mrs. PP cannot be persuaded to go, saying that one weekend of old geezers playing guitars was enough for her!

Jostein - you could also look at the Euroweenie pictures in the Photo Gallery (which mostly comprises old geezers playing guitars...)

Hey.  Some of us aren't even 40 yet! ;)

Ha ha - I was waiting for that comment, Simon. You're catching us up though...  ::)

Seriously, I think it's great to see representatives of the younger faction taking an interest in this music and our events. I notice it when organising music events for the Rye Arts Festival - our audiences for blues, folk, world music, jazz, cajun, etc. etc. are often exclusively made up of old fogeys. We cannot seem to attract younger people, despite media comments about younger people being keen on all these music genres. I also occasionally play in a pub quiz team and the number of teams in the league is falling fast - again no youngsters.

Looking forward to seeing my Euroweenie friends in April - both young and old.

What happened to all the banjo jokes?

Q: What's the difference between a banjo and an onion?
A: Nobody cries when you chop up a banjo.

PP, my wife is coming. Not sure if it's not too late to persuade yours. At least she'll have someone to talk to....

Cheers

Believe me Adrian, I've tried, but failed. She cannot be persuaded.

Your wife doesn't have to hang around all the time listening to the old geezers as there are local walks and the seaside is not far away. However, maybe she likes listening to old geezers [and the young 'uns like Slim and Harvey] playing guitars...

Speaking of the younger element, is Natterjack coming this year?

Booking this week. Mrs Blueshome will be joining us again. At least the change of date means that she can spend her birthday elsewhere than Fawlty Towers for once.
