....Very good west coast blues but I don't quite get the connection - any info about this guy or the record? blue I shade a part of this town.

In September 1993 a CD compilation entitled My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama (Lenox 1012) contained this track and the booklet invited listeners to write to Lenox and suggest who they thought the mystery artist was. I think Blues & Rhythm when reviewing it did exactly the same with their readership, playing Lenox at their own game. The consensus of the time was that it smacked of hoax but that was nearly 20 year ago...
