Hound Dog came back with a rifle and said, "Hey, Brewer." And pointed the rifle--pow! Shot me right through the side. I said, "Hound Dog. What did you shoot me for?" And he shot me through this finger, and then he shot me through the shoulder. If that rifle hadn't jammed, he probably would have hurt me - Brewer Phillips, memories of Hound Dog Taylor in a Living Blues interview
The Juke Status menu item is interesting. We have listeners from all over the globe, US & Canada obviously, several in Japan, several European countries, Oz, and tonight I noticed Medell?n Columbia for the first time. Have also spotted listeners in Argentina & Brazil.
International juke listeners please sign up and post if you get a moment.

I'm often amazed at the geolocations tuned-in. We see a lot of US, Canada, UK, France, Deutschland, Belgique, Italia, Oz and Nippon flags on the Juke Status page. But we also see listeners in places like St. Petersburg, Latvia, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, Peru, Mexico, etc., many of whom are tuned-in for hours on end. So far we haven't made many inroads into Espa?a, Scandinavia (with the notable exception of ex-pat Finn Mr. Pan currently in Berlin), China, Africa, India, Pakistan, the Middle East and the SE Asian regions. I hope to spot a Tibetan flag on there someday.
Seeing all those flags gives us a lot of motivation to keep it going and grow the listener base, so many thanks for tuning-in, wherever you are.
International listeners please feel free to register, log-in and post here, we'd love to hear from you, even if it's just a weather report.

Some folks stumble into the juke by accident via the Shoutcast weenie listing probably and many don't stay long. Others stick around for ages. It's an ever-changing picture.
All regular listeners from anywhere on planet Earth please sign-up for the forum, stick your pin on the google map, and post some messages here, we'd love to hear from you.

Try it out, go to the link above, click the Tune-In button, refresh the map page and see your pin appear. It's all pretty new stuff with a few moving parts so if you experience any problems with it please let us know here.

There's an intermittent problem with the google map, sometimes it doesn't display the pins due to a problem with the data coming in for some locations. Investigation underway, fix will follow.
(fixed, xml doesn't like accent characters in city names, had to utf8-encode them)

The Google Map on the tuned-in page was a nice addition to help visualize from where everyone if listening. The only problem was it looked like, well, a Google map really. The blues and greens etc didn't really integrate well with the forum colors.
I've tweaked a bit to be more in-keeping. Have also added a 'totals tuned in by country' block (more flags) and generally improved the top layout. There are other changes under the covers to make it run fast and be more maintainable.
I made a flag for Montenegro BTW, we have some regular listeners from there and there was no flag in the image folder, Montenegro being a fairly recent constituted country.

Existential juke experience #1: When the tuned-in page zooms the map in to show you as being the only tuned-in juke listener on planet earth, which, by extension, means the entire universe
I have to say though it's the first time I've ever seen that since I started messing with the juke. Well, it is Sunday night.
Rev. Gary is playing "I Am The Light Of This World", which is a strangely appropriate accompaniment to the single juke listener experience.
