Guitar of Mississippi John Hurt Workshop
Taught by Tom Feldmann

[float=left][/float]I will be teaching a 4day workshop on Mississippi John Hurt at Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch from May 17-20, 2013.

Level 1/2
Space is limited to 10 students.

Workshop Description:

It is no exaggeration to state that much of the interest in Country Blues today can be attributed to the tremendous appeal of Mississippi John Hurt.  His guitar style revolves around an alternating bass approach and seems deceptively simple but is in fact full of tricks and turns.

In this class, Tom Feldmann will take you step by step through Mississippi John Hurt?s most celebrated songs in the keys of E, A, D, G, and C in standard tuning, as well as Open G and Open D tunings.  Whether beginner or intermediate you will learn to pick in the distinctive ?Hurt? style and build a large repertoire of classic country blues.
