Don't know how this fits in with the biography Dean Alger has been researching these past eight years.

It sounds to be quite specifically about Lonnie's time on Toronto... shouldn't be a problem!

I look forward to reading it. I found the Sleeve notes to Stompin' At The Penny from this phase of Lonnie's life very memorable and poignant. See also: http://weeniecampbell.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=4354.0

This is one of the few Johnson albums I don't have. Are these sleeve notes available somewhere?

Will attempt a scan / OCR for you later jostber.

[later: notes to Stompin' At The Penny' are here, I put them up as a separate topic in Super Electrical Recordings since they concern a commercial disc:

I ordered it one month ago, paid with Paypal, but didn't receive it yet.
My 2 inquiry emails bounced.

It's on my list (Available on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Way-Down-That-Lonesome-Road/dp/1551281481/ref=tmm_pap_title_0), but I haven't seen it. Who did you order it from?

They are located in Toronto, so maybe one of our Canadian members in the vicinity can give them a call to see what's up. Here's the link:

Even in this e-world we live in, things go wrong, so it might a good idea to have someone double check. They certainly appear to be active. With much of e-commerce dependent on third party servers, it's tough to guess the details, but it wouldn't be the first time something fell through the e-cracks.
