Singing is where the rubber really hits the road. How invested are you? What do you have to bring to the song? How much are you capable of letting yourself feel? How much of that are you willing to show? Are you willing to step out of your set identity to engage a song? Unless singing is embarrassing, it ain't no damn good at all - Mr. O'Muck

New Old Brandy Snifter CD Set
« on: January 28, 2012, 02:32:02 PM »
For any old-time stringband fans out there: we've just published a 2-CD set of some of our home recordings from the 1960s - 1980s, titled "Practice Night With Uncle Willie & the Brandy Snifters." For a song list, a link to online notes (complete with lyrics!), and shameless promotion to get you to send to me for a copy, go to .

PS: If you don't want to buy our CDs, you might be interested in looking at photos, or listening to some audio by Mississippi John Hurt, Rev. Gary Davis, and Elizabeth Cotten, plus a lot of other super-interesting (at least to me) material at the same site. No obligation to purchase, other than, of course, a moral one. And, to update the old saying, collecting on a moral obligation plus $2.50 will buy you a cup of coffee in a restaurant.
