The famous Mother of the Blues doesn't want you to ever forget her-that's how much she loves her friends! So we put her picture on her latest record, 'Dream Blues.' On the other side is 'Lost Wandering Blues' by 'Ma.' Accompaniments by Pruitt Twins on those guitars that made Kansas City famous.... This is the first time, to our knowledge, that any artist's picture has ever appeared on a record. Paramount is always first with the features - Chicago Defender ad, 7 June 1924 for Ma Rainey's souvenir record

Blind Willie Mctell Box Set

I ran across this web site yesterday for a new limited edition BWM box set that is set for release in Jan./Feb. of '05.? The web site has cool graphics, a video interview with the producer, and some cool links.? The box set itself is pretty pricey ($179.00) but it doesn't appear to be your average box set.? It includes a dvd documentary, a 200 page book, and some other extras I can't recall.? Let me know what y'all think.? Oh yeah, the site is http://www.blindwilliemctell.com/blind/

Willie:

The folks have been discussing it at the end of the McTell on Yazoo thread in this section.
