Justin Adams & Juldeh Camara

A quick tip for Weenies in southern England.  On Saturday 12 September 2009, our first guests in the Rye Arts Festival are Justin Adams & Juldeh Camara.

If you like Ali Farka Tour?, Tinarawen (whose album Justin produced) and similar West African performers, it's fairly likely you will like these guys.  They are joined on stage by master percussionist Salah Dawson Miller.  It's pie in the sky, but not entirely beyond the bounds of possibility that they might bring their guest vocalist and harmonica player, one Robert Plant.  No guarantees, of course.

And if you can't make the gig, but like this kind of music, check out their new CD, "Tell No Lies" which comes highly recommended.
