Jimmie Rodgers Waitin' For A Train
« on: May 18, 2009, 07:01:03 AM »
My Dad (who is deceased) used to play guitar and he inspired me to learn to play. Now, that I have been playing for almost 50 years, I am still impressed with some of the songs he taught me. One was "Waitin' For A Train" by Jimmie Rodgers. I finger pick and play harmonica- I do not yodel. I play the song in the key of "G" and for some reason always have a little trouble with the timing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Advice is greatly appreciated.
