Upstroke is the way I learned it though. That's the way you're supposed to go with a mandolin. After I got my hands stiff I have to play it down. I can't play that quiver like I used to. You can play that quiver better with an upstroke. Upstroke is a better sound to me. Sure is. - Yank Rachell, Blues Mandolin Man

« on: November 03, 2008, 11:29:55 AM »
This Saturday (Nov. 8) Eric and I will celebrate the release of our new CD, "Dream Shadows" with a concert at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley.  The opening act is a Greek rebetika group, the Disciples of Markos with special guests (from Seattle) Hank Bradley & Cathie Whitesides.  The Freight is at 1111 Addison (near San Pablo) in Berkeley.  The show starts (with the Greek music) at 8:00.  Suzy & Eric will go on at about 9.  Freight website:  http://www.freightandsalvage.org
