My Blues Blog
« on: June 14, 2008, 12:08:33 AM »
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I just thought I'd make everyone aware of a Blues blog I recently started. I basically give quick reviews of music I've purchased. The reviews are short and sweet and when I don't like an album, I really let it be known. I'd love any feedback; positive or negative. Here's the link:
"There ain't no Heaven, ain't no burning Hell. Where I go when I die, can't nobody tell."

FWIW Sire reissued the Johnny Shines Blue Horizon LP on CD in 1993 and more recently remastered as part of double CD with Sunnyland Slim as part of Mike Vernon's on going reissue project for Sony. See the ever reliable Stefan Wirz Shines page for details

Hey Doc.

Nice covers on the blog... but you got no mention of jug bands, i.e., Mississippi Sheiks, Gus Cannon, Memphis Jug Band, Cincinnati Jug Band. My band and I are hurt. Juggers get no respect I tell you!   ;)

Woke up this morning... I think.

Even on your own website where the jug band link hasn't been hooked up yet.

If jug band music got the respect it deserved I'd probably stop playing it.
