Slack & team,
Well done all. My stream is now flowing. Almost a week without and the strain was starting to show.

Hello All,

We seem to have a little problem with the 24K stream and the updating of the Jukes web pages.

Will get to it as soon as I am able.

Thanks!

I'm still have music on Real Player (<edit> at 24K) but no "Now Playing" page and a missing link on the forum pages.
In a sense I'm "Blind" Gary Davis.

Hi Gary,

Yep, at the risk of telling you more than you want to know.... but you are a techie so you might enjoy it. ;)  I have a dynamic IP and use a service that monitors the IP so if it gets changed it will still be assigned to "countryblues.org".  Well the monitoring service site went down... oops.

So, I've plugged the IP address in and we are back in bidness.

Cheers,

This is our 48K feed:

---snip---
Dear Streamhosting Client:

In case you were unaware, we did not perform the maintenence that was planned last Sunday due to technical issues that needed to be sorted to minimize downtime.  Below are the details of the new window we have scheduled:

Commencing Sunday, January 30th  between the hours of 01:00 AM and 05:00
AM Pacific Standard Time service will be interrupted in order to Upgrade
our Core and Distribution Routers.  We understand the impact this outage
may have on your business and will work to mitigate the duration of this

Don't know if this is the same problem or not, but my 24K streem is acting funny -- the juke now playing display (web page and Windows Media Player) is about 4 to 5 songs ahead of the music stream.  Or the stream is 4 to 5 songs behind the now playing display, which ever way you want to look at it.

Weird - refreshing your browser does not set things right?

I think I tried refreshing IE without resolving the problem, but I'm not positive I tried refreshing.  Hopefully, I'll remember to try reloading if this occurs again (I've been off a couple of songs before, but never 4 or 5.

Unfortunately, within Windows Media Player, there is no way to do a refresh -- all you can do is re-click the Windows Media icon on the web page, and that kills the current song and reloads from scratch.

The website interface for the Weenie Juke is down.  This is apparently a problem with our Host (Powweb.com) as every radio Sam2 station using Powweb is experiencing the same problem.   I've got a support request in.  In the meantime, the Juke is streaming just fine and you can use the basic interface provided by the streaming servers to access the Juke.

The squirrels went on strike again today - so I am taking the opportunity to do some Juke maintenance.  Hope to have the Juke back in operation soon.  Thanks for your patience.

Hello All,

Well, we've got some kinda problem with the Juke - at the risk of telling you more than you want to know -- for some reason it is rejecting a number of songs (anywhere between 1 and 7) when trying to queue a song.  This sometimes leads to the Juke halting, as it thinks it runs out of songs and so shuts down.  Also, ss a result the "coming up" (queue) will seldom match what is actually coming up.

We'll try to limp along - but it won't be until this evening until I have time to work on it.

Thanks for your patience,
Slack

Hi Boots and All,

Well it looks like a more serious problem than I thought.  I fooled with it over lunch and I think I may have lost the hard drive.  :(  The Juke will not currently boot, Boots.  :)

So the Juke may be down for a few days until I can get a hard drive installed and the backup restored and configured.

It happens... or is that shit happens.

I'll keep you posted.

Not so Cheery,  ;)
