I listen to the Juke constantly when I'm in my shop and when I'm at home in the office. It cuts down on my "investing" in CD's. Now I'm actually going to have to choose what I listen to on my own. :-\

Got the name, still workin' on the licks!

I hear ya, Reverend. I've actually had trouble receiving the Juke at work for the past while (cuts out, overlaps tunes etc., I blame the new software, haven't tried it since Slack reverted to the old to see if it's solved). It means I have to bring CDs to work if I want to listen, and choosing is damn hard at 8 am.

Well I haven't had my Weenie Juke since some time this morning and it sure has affected my mood ::). I do a lot of writing (dissertation  >:() at home and have come to rely on the Juke to set the right tone. I hope things are up and running again soon. Otherwise I'm going to have to start buying CDs again!  O0

Hi Folks,

As you may have surmised - swapping out the modem did not solve the problem.  so it was 'one black rat' or possibly the temperature(?) Tuesday night was our coldest so far, in the mid-20's (that's cold for us).

So, an appointment has been set for Friday afternoon (the earliest availble from the cable company :(  ).

Sorry,  but you'll have to continue making up your minds until then!   ;D

Cheers,
slack

Hey Slack
Bummer! Any chance you can easily temporarily disable the "Now Playing" Window in the WCB header. Safari seems to take about 3 minutes to decide it isn't going to load before jumping to the referenced post, which is a little disconcerting when you are in the middle of a quick post. Of course, maybe there's a preference setting I'm not aware of that would shorten the time. As always, your efforts are so appreciated.
All for now.

Ouch, thanks for letting me know (my browser just ignores it and does not try to display it).

Are you suing a different Theme?  Or the Default theme?

OK JohnC, I've disabled the Juke Banner on the Default Theme (Paramount).

So if any users are having Display delays or Wonky Displays - switch your Theme to Paramount.   To do this go to:
Profile->Look and Layout->Current Theme-> and choose Paramount.

Cheers,

I use Paramount Two (love those 78s). I'm also on a G4 iBook here in NJ and don't know how things will be when I get back to SF tomorrow night. Any other Safari users having this problem?
Thanks again, Slack.
All for now.

Whoops. Okay, just saw your post, so I'll switch over for the duration. Cool.

Thanks John,   I have now removed the two big slashes also (thought I was commenting out the banner - should have checked my work!)

<sigh> Whatever happened to customer service?

In any case, the technician came out to check the line and declared that the problem was at the pole.? Of course this guy was not a pole technician (!@#$!) and needs to send a pole technician out to climb the pole and fix the problem - which, if he does not get out today, will be tomorrow.? :(

Hang in there Jukesters.

Hey Alex, hmm, I doubt Time Warner is unionized - at least not here on the Mexican border - the labor pool is too big.  I think the reason is that pole climbers are an expensive breed, Workman's Comp rates alone would make you want to limit the number of these guys --  blame it on the Inurance companies. ;)

In any case, I really cannot complain.  I've had this service for about 5 years and this is the first time it has so much has hiccupped.  Pretty impressive.

Ok, need to go get caught up on the forum.... while I'm listening to BBQ Bob, yeah man.

Cheers!
