Pt. Townsend ---OLD TIME

Anyone else going to the Pt. Townsend  Fiddle Tunes Workshop?

(I get the sense that  there may be a few other old-timers here.)

I'm bringing as many guitars as I can stuff in the car....

Country Blues week used to be the week before Fiddle Tunes week -- and we were always saying (before they moved CB week) how we should stay another week and do Fiddle tunes -- a few complications like spouses and total exhaustion seemed to always get in the way.  :P

In any case Satchel, I think you'll have a great time and be a very popular guy with your guitars... a rare commodity amongst 350+ fiddlers!

Are you going to Country Blues Week also?

No, I'm not going to the CB week...I'm actually more in the 'old time' camp than the CB.

I started out fingerpicking and thinking that CB was where it was at, but the compass has shifted me over to other things of late.

And, like you say, the ratio of fiddles to guitars at Fiddle Tunes means you never have to look far for a 'date'!!  (If you had a normal high school experience, you are going to find this type of popularity unsettling at first.  Try to keep your head from getting too big,  and have compassion...)
