Well, I ain't got no voice, but I'll give you the words of an old Memphis song.' William Brown began to sing in his sweet true country voice, poking in delicate passages at every pause, like the guitar was a second voice commenting with feeling on the ironic words of the blues... This was the real blues... The blues in print give you the skeleton only. If you've never heard the blues, get yourself a record and listen and then come back and join us... William Brown's song can last until the morning... - Alan Lomax, The Land Where the Blues Began

Dig it . . .

David Jacob-Strain playing an acoustic set at BB King's club in mid-town Manhattan.

Not only is that the "big time," he also stayed true to country blues during the gig. Yes!

Way to Go! Great review for you, David! :D
thanks for the heads up, lindy! How do you like the Big Apple these days? Have the tulips bloomed on Park Ave? They were in bloom a number of years back when we visited Morgan at NYU, and I can never forget how beautiful they were as far as the eye could see down the ave.
All best,
Do good, be nice, eat well, smile, treat the ladies well, and ignore all news reports--which  can't be believed anyway,
