The objectives of the Mississippi John Hurt Foundation:

To expose children from various cultures to learn and appreciate the contributions all cultures has made in their city , state and the world holistically.

Be a pathway of hope through music to heal the racial divide that has brought a halt to racial gains of the 20th century.

Repair the Mississippi John Hurt museum that will be a safe haven for youths to learn music during the summer months, to which improvised youth are affected most to violence and crime who lack other avenues to avoid such activities!
