Roy Book Binder & Fats Kaplan
« on: October 07, 2017, 12:15:31 PM »
I've been trying to find mp3 copies of the two early (1970s) Blue Goose albums by Roy Book Binder & Fats Kaplin - "Ragtime Millionaire" and "Git-Fiddle Shuffle". The only re-release of these is in Japan and they are very hard to find (at least that I can afford).  I'm a little surprised that they haven't been re-leased in the USA unless there are some legal issues i'm not aware of.  Does anyone have a source for a digital copy (any format)  of either of these? I would love to hear these again.
Thanks

I have the "Git-Fiddle Shuffle" LP, but I don't have a digital copy.

Why not try contacting Roy or Fats directly? They may have "unofficial copies" that they can set you up with. Roy is a member here so you could send him a PM:

and you contact him through his website:

http://www.roybookbinder.com/

And Fats through his wife's site:

http://www.pulpcountry.com/

There are used copies of each available on eBay.

I have both albums on LP but haven't digitized either of them yet.

Roy told me back in May of this year that he just obtained the rights to both of those albums and is in talks with a few people about reissuing both of them sometime in the next year or so, possibly on Third Man Records.
