The Big Beat: Fats Domino and the Birth of Rock and Roll -- Fine documentary that examines Domino's life, music and extraordinary success. Great interviews with and about Domino's trumpeter/bandleader/arranger Dave Bartholomew, some interviews with Domino himself. And mainly the recently discovered trove of footage of Domino and band at a European festival. Fortunately the filmmaker allows us to watch some full songs.
I saw this at the Reel Music Festival in Portland, don't know if it's easy to find. But worth looking for.
