In 1950, Mrs. [Franklin D.] Roosevelt took Josh on a concert tour of Europe. In England, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Scotland, he sang to sell-out crowds. Fifty thousand people showed up for one concert in Stockholm and at an Ambassador's party on Copenhagen; even the King of Denmark sat on the floor and joined in singing spirituals. Rare Shirley Griffith LPs - new info
« on: July 02, 2015, 08:38:24 AM »
I'm selling two rare Shirley Griffith LPs to raise funds for going to Blues Week at Port Townsend.

First one is Saturday Blues: The Blues of Shirley Griffith on the Prestige Bluesville label. BVLP 1087 A. Its condition is very good, with only a couple of minor scratches. Amazon has one for $950.00 and Ebay has one for $250.00 BUT I DON'T EXPECT THAT MUCH.

The second one is Indiana Ave. Blues: The Blues of J.T. Adams and Shirley Griffith. Prestige Bluesville label, BV 1077. Condition is very good with only a few minor scratches.
Amazon has this one on offer for $125.00.

I WOULD LIKE TO GET $200 FOR BOTH.

I'll bring them to Port Townsend and sell them to the record store there if I don't get any interest from individuals.
You may email me at jaycee6@shaw.ca.
