Charlie Burse followed up the Picininny and Memphis Jug Band recordings with an group of anonymous musicians on alto sax, piano, bass and drums — labelled as His Mississippi Mudcats. Here's their 1939  Oil it Up And Go:



Same old Charlie, but the band took into a new musical idiom. And here are two more idiom-shifts:
