The Lou Curtiss Sound Library (Folk Arts Rare Records)

Came across this site with rare recordings by Rev. Gary Davis and Sam Chatmon among others. Free to download.

It claims to have the only recording of Rev. Gary Davis playing a 5-string banjo.

It's a nice recording, but not the only one of Rev. Davis playing the 5-string banjo. There's one track on "O, Glory," one on "At The Sign Of The Sun," three on "At Allegheny College," and one on "At Home And At Church." The only proper studio recording is the one on "O, Glory," though - "Out On The Ocean Sailing."
