I just don't find any sadness in the blues... I get a happy feeling when I hear a guitar tuning up. - Etta Baker, quoted in Woman With Guitar: Memphis Minnie's Blues by Paul and Beth Garon

Don't know that I've seen a link to this one here yet. From the Folkways series with David Holt, Piedmont Blues. Etta Baker, George Higgs, and John Dee Holeman.

If I did, I'd air stuff like this all the time.

There are some other interesting shows there from David Holt. One visiting instrument makers building banjos, dulcimers and fiddles, and another featuring the music of Surry County that was very good. There one with Doc Watson I haven't watched yet either, and a gospel show.
