Added Today:

78 Collectors Hour! - A weekly hour of digitized 78's contributed by Weenie Campbell members.

Album Concert!  -  Our steam driven victrola picks a random album to play based on top Song Requests every week.

I've also changed the Event Schedule listing in order to read the schedule directly from the database.  This will save me some time -- and I'll keep working on making it a little more informative.  One bonus is that you'll know what show is playing next in the "Weenie Hour" slot (Wednesday 2pm, 7pm slot)

Cheers,
slack

HI Boots,

It might be interesting.  Of ocurse there are a lot of compilation CD's on the juke and in that case it won't be mcuh different than the regualre rotation.  We'll see what happens.

cheers,
slack

If the companies promoting satellite radio would like to get me interested, all they need to do it find a way to broadcast Weenie Juke Radio. Maybe someday...    ;)

Recently Added:

Big Boy Teddy Edwards:  Complete Recorded Works  1930-1936 (Doc)
Dan Pickett:  1949 Blues

dj's notes on these CD's:
The first 4 songs of the Teddy Edwards all share the same melody and are interesting  primarily in that they're accompanied on the tiple.  After that, he joined up with a hot little group (Big Bill Broonzy, Black Bob, and Papa Charlie Jackson) and recorded some very nice hokum, blues and pop.

Dan Pickett is a pseudonym for James Founty.  He's a guy from Alabama recording a primarily East Coast repertoire in a style that sounds like he hung out in Texas for a while.  Very nice stuff.

Blind Teddy Darby:  Complete Recorded Works - 1929-1937 (Doc)
16 Classic Blues Songs from the 1920's Vol. 3  (Blues Images)
Texas Field Recordings 1934-1939 The Complete Recorded Works of Pete Harris & Smith Casey (Doc)
Mean Little Poodle - Ernie Hawkins (revivalist rotation)
