Hey JohnD,

I noticed Leadbelly's Gey Goose, from the Too Late, Too Late vol. 6 was listed as by Leadbelly, The Golden Gate Quartet, Willis Johnson, William Langford, Henry Owens & Arlandus Wilson - , which I assume are all the artists on the CD.

Keep up the great job. I realize this could represent quite a nightmare if all the Too Late, Too Late volumes that you rtecently uploaded are all doing the same thing.

All for now.

That's all the artists in that track  eg The Golden Gate Quartet is Willis Johnson etc.

From the document notes:  "In 1940 Alan Lomax teamed Leadbelly up with the Golden Gate Quartet to record some "rough worksongs". "

Apparently neither Ledbelly or The Golden Gate Quartet were enthusiastic about the project and the album only sold 500 copies.

The new juke server, I'm happy to say, solved the old naming problems I was having of all tracks entered from the same artist.

Cheers,
slack

Heh heh heh. I'm so  glad. Actually, when I logged on I saw this long list of names in the "Coming Up" list and thought, "Dang, it'll be forever before my request plays."

All for now.

The Shorty Bob Parker tracks on the Document Kid Prince Moore CD play as by Kid Prince Moore.  The affected tracks are Death of Slim Green, I'm Through with Love, Ridin' Dirty Motorsickle, Tired of being Drug Around, Rain and Snow, and So Cold in China.

Hi John D.,
I just saw "Shiney Town Blues" from the Rural Blues" compilation shown as being by Virgil Perkins, when it was actually played by Frank Stokes and Will Batts.? Also, I've seen "Wringin' That Thing" show a couple of times as being by Peg Leg Howell, and it was done by Tampa Joe and Macon Ed.
All best,
Johnm

First one from me in ages.

The header on The Juke page for the Piano Hour contains a superfluous 'i'.

Cheers Boots

Hi! Slack,

I spotted during the "Piano Hour" Roosevelt Sykes has his name twice. At least with "The Way I Feel. . . The Best Of Roosevelt Sykes And Lee Green"

Boots

Edit: Same for Lee Green.

It is intermitent. Unless you've cured it on the fly. The last Lee Green echo has vanished.

John D.
Seems like the juke display is totally out of whack with what is actually playing. I've listened to about 5 sides, including 2 by BBF not quite back to back, and none of them has been displayed. An entirely different list is being displayed, including a request or two. And now another BBF number. Hmm, they seem to be coming every other tune. Dang, have we been hacked? It seems like someone is controlling what is playing while the Juke is going ahead with normal display. Wup, another BBF, back to back with the last.

Also noticed earlier today that the Juke plays Suzy T's spoken intro to No Mockingbird, but doesn't play the song. Must see it as a cut unto itself.

All for now.
