Bucky Pizzarelli was just up here in Burlington for a free show (with free food afterward, it doesn't get any better).  unbelievable.  just unbelievable.

I blew through the exhibition in 10 minutes or less, not because I didn't like it, but because I was there to see non-musical stuff. Numerous immaculate archtops, a pretty mandola that Elizabeth Taylor commissioned Monteleone, if I recall correctly, to make for her son, some mandolins as seen in the link above, then some older instruments at the back. I managed to snap a few poor quality pics of those before a stern woman approached me like she was going to pull out a taser. No photos in the special exhibitions, as it turns out.

Definitely not. She meant business.  :P Probably has to deal with too many guitar nerds every day. The pics I did get though were taken right in front of another guard who didn't care.

Got to nip any potential competition in the bud, Andrew!

I suppose so, although I don't see any viola d'amore or mandolinetto t-shirts or silly bandz.

It's a strange world, one that I don't pretend to understand. So much is proprietary--both above and below the surface. There's probably some exclusive rights to the images deal (and protection/enforcement of such) at work in the background, otherwise it all would have been fair game.
