Got myself a new toy...

The fun thing is searching for new ways to play because of the 4 instead of 6 strings.
GDgd tuning
Shinin' Moon is one of Lightin' Hopkins more introspective pieces; although not a slide piece I kept the Lemonesque riff.
It's fun to freak out sometimes ;)
cheers,
Carl
ps : oh yeah, the attire belongs in the "schtick" tread :)

That box has got a great 'Maxwell Street' sound to it!
-
Hey Carl, that was great!
Now I want the details. :D
What kind of pickup is it wearing? And what pedals etc. are you going thru?
Great sound!

Thanks Joe,
simplicity is my keyword.
The cbg has a piezo pickup and runs through a small Vox DA5, 10 watt amp (settings : style crunch2, effects chorus reverb), no pedals.
The cbg was made by 'Fuzzy', Mark Whitener from Texas - he lives 30 and 8 miles from the birthplaces of Blind Lemon and Lightnin' Hopkins - talk about 'mojo' ;)
Here's a link to his YouTube channel where he demonstrates the cbg's he's selling on ebay (prices range from $220-250 for a 4-string cbg)

Believe me : it's fun

Another great piece there Carl!
I'm going to have to work on this one, be a fun piece to play.
Is it the same tuning as the first piece?
Thanks,
Joe
