When Alan posed the question "What are the blues? What do they mean to you?" the answers were in part something he sought for himself, to understand this musical form that may have been as ancient as the griots in West Africa, or perhaps as recent as the automobile, the airplane, and the phonograph (all of which made guest appearances in the blues). I'll be playing jug and fronting a handful of songs on vocal and guitar with this wild, genre bending jug band that has been performing since the 60's in Niagara Falls, NY.

The event starts at 9 PM at the Crepe Place and we are the lead off act. Songs you might hear include Lady Be Good, Ditty Wah Ditty, Chicken Ain't, Nothin' But a Bird, O'Reilly at the Bar, Shake It and Break It, Mother Earth and Honeysuckle Rose, to name a few.
