By 1935, he [Charles Seeger] was writing for a small Marxist journal called Music Vanguard that "fine art" music was the property of the dominant classes, for which it was made. I'll be at a little coffee shop called Barefoot Coffee Roasters (www.barefootcoffeeroasters.com).  I have a couple friends that work there and have a bit of a fan base from playing at their weekly open mic (the under 21 crowd who can't come to see me play elsewhere).  It should be a fun, intimate show and I know for sure that it won't be canceled when I get there, like that damn San Francisco one the other week!
Puttin' on my Carrhartts, I gotta work out in the field.
