Folklore is not as easy to collect as it sounds. The best source is where there are the least outside influences, and these people, being usually under-privileged, are the shyest... The Negro, in spite of his open-faced laughter, his seeming acquiescence, is particularly evasive... The Indian resists curiosity by a stony silence. The Negro offers a feather-bed resistance - Zora Neale Hurston, Mules and Men (1935)

Kalamazoo KG-12

I just purchased what I believe is a KG-12.  It has maple back and sides and a light sunburst top.

It should arrive sometime next week.

It arrived yesterday and I spent half an hour with it last night and a couple of hours today.  It is set up wonderfully and plays like a dream.  The dealer advertised that it sounded more like an x braced guitar than ladder braced and he was right.  It has more fullness to the sound than most ladder braced guitars that I have played.  It is bright with good bass and great sustain.  More than anything else, it has lots of soul and is definitely a keeper.

Good. Can I have it? :P

As I believe the kids today say: "YouTube, or it didn't happen!"  :P

Seriously, we'd love to have a sound sample.

Congratulations anyway, what a way to start a new year!

Cheers

Congratulations on your new guitar. We'd love to see a video or at the least hear a snippet of the new instrument being played.
