Here are a few pieces from Gordon Smith, the UK's best kept Blues secret. These were recorded at the Blues Lounge a new acoustic Blues club based in the Northeast UK (not far from Sunderland) For more info go to: www.blueslounge.webs.com

Indeed, best kept secret when you know his first album dates from 1968...
Although he gives it a personal touch, he and Ari Eisinger are the only guitarists who know how to play Lonnie Johnson material.
Thanks for the upload.

Carl - you should check out Willie Salomon (www.williesalomon.com) who does a very fine job with Lonnie's material.

As did Tony 'Top' Topham once upon a time. I haven't laid eyes on Tony for about 15 years but when I last did I was so impressed with two of his LJ instrumental renditions I gave him my complete Document set of LJ CDs!

Just for your info folks, I've posted a few more of Gordon's Vid's to the website. www.blueslounge.webs.com

There are clips of him performing a couple of slide pieces...and yes, he's just as good a slide player!
