Trumpeter Freddie Hubbard died in CA at the age of 70. His death has made all the papers, worldwide - that says something, doesn't it.

They had a brief tribute to him tonight on the radio program As It Happens. Played a song he wrote in honour of Charlie Parker, can't remember the title, great playing, very Parkeresque tune.
