Title: Ari Eisinger Guitar Artistry DVD
Post by: uncle bud on May 04, 2010, 07:54:27 AM
I haven't seen this mentioned so I'll do the honours. The Guitar Artistry DVD featuring Ari Eisinger (http://guitarvideos.com/guitarartistry/13119dvd.htm) is now available from Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop.

Songs include: Jesus Gonna Make Up My Dying Bed, Southern Rag, Blues in E (improvisation), Frankie, Drunken Barrel House Blues, When The Levee Breaks, Hunkie Tunkie Blues, Lonnie Johnson style Blues in D, Match Box Blues, Piney Woods Money Mama, Rabbit Foot Blues, One Dime Blues, That Will Never Happen No More, Rope Stretchin? Blues, Hard Road Blues, Chump Man Blues, You Don?t Understand, If You See My Saviour, But They Got It Fixed Right On and Wabash Rag.

This is sure to be a winner, and after you watch Ari and give up playing, instead of tossing them on some ungrateful trash heap, please send your guitars to me.

Damn, what a song line up.

My understanding  is that the DVD comes with a poison pill (option), so maybe it is better to update the will before viewing.

Just ordered mine. I've gone for the sledgehammer option....

This looks awesome...though I'm somewhat dissapointed that no tabs are included...I've gotten huge pleasure out of learning some songs from the Roy BB artistry disc that had some tab included.

Cheers,

Blue

At Bluesweek a couple of years ago we offered Ari the option of death or incendiarising his guitar. Needless to say we let him live but I see he is using another guitar. He's awesome, and a gent to boot!

Am disappointed at the absence of any Charlie Poole numbers on the dvd.  But otherwise looks great. ;)

This is my favorite Ari 'cover' - the juxtaposition or contrast between Ari, a guy who looks like my local insurance agent, playing this low down and dirty, heavy J White song about dying is almost too much - I'm in awe.  Too cool.

(Nice talk on how Ari got started on guitar as well)

Well, for those who haven't burned or sledgehammered their guitars ;D....you can find tablature for Ari's version of "If You See My Savior" at my website
The tab is based on the version he plays on his first cd
