What better reason to do something like music than just because you love it? It's really easy, all you gotta do is quit your day job, and alienate your family, and confuse all your friends, and live in squalor for a few years, and you got it - Bruce Molsky

The Chatmon Family photo
« on: November 07, 2015, 02:16:10 PM »
If this photo has been discussed/posted before I'm sorry. This information was new to me and maybe to some of you blues fans as well.

Photo taken 1915/1918.

(left to right) Liza and Henderson, the mother and father. Josephine, Bo (Carter) with the cap and Lonnie on the far right with his hand on Bo's shoulder. Sam with the hat on the second row, on the far left with suspenders is probably Harry. (From the research of Gayle Dean Wardlow)

Thanks so much for the photos. I hadn't seen it before! Sam is one of my all-time favorites and the reason my first blues mandolin album is called TAKIN' SAM'S ADVICE!
