I got myself a mamma, she's always got me feeling blue. She acts just like the weather, I don't know what she's going to do - Lonnie Johnson, "Fickle Mamma Blues" (1927)

And, dare I say I certainly qualify with a new old guitar or two - or three, but don't tell 'er indorrs! r I think zi can fulfill that criteria your Professorial Scratchiness.
Danke Ricardo por la contactement du la hotel (preparing for my "Brush up on your franglais and other sound alikes" course. Dear Prof - I can also bring my new banjos if you like too !? Wash your mouth out with carbolic soap and water. You naughty boy! Hey Michael. I have four great new banjo compilation cds which should just about cover our journey time up to Weenie weekend! You?ll be loving banjo by the time we get there.
Big Brother is watching and has to admit that he does own a banjo so bring 'em along, at least you can hear them not like them there Minnie Mouse uke things
My computer is now working again and I have booked myself into the hotel.
I will, of course, be bringing my 5 string Banjo's & possibly some other instruments. Libraries are the traditional location for murders .... I look forward to seeing everyone again. Seeing as the sun is currently shining I thought this update might be appropriate to get you all dreaming of a uxorious weekend in sunny Somerset...
As before it's the Webbington Hotel - http://www.webbingtonhotelandspa.co.uk Tel 01934 750100 Room rates inc of VAT are - Single occupancy Bed and Breakfast\Dinner ?85 Double occupancy Bed and Breakfast\Dinner ?110 You must mention WEEKEND BLUES and the dates when you book to get the rates I have agreed. NOW help is needed - who could do a workshop to keep us all entertained? And, I could do with a very knowledgeable unisex personage (that's very PC) who could produce the quiz? All suggestions welcome polite or otherwise. R Booked. I have an idea for an activity rather than a workshop, and I'll just haul it up the flagpole and wait for you to shoot it down. The title would be 'blues ideas in E', and the activity would involve each participant sharing one or more of their favourite moves in that key. It could be a different key, or indeed a different tuning. There wouldn't be pressure on everybody to participate if not up for it, but everybody could/might take something away from stealing others' favourite licks in the designated key or tuning....just an idea...
