Live Recordings of the greats.
« on: January 22, 2011, 07:44:15 PM »
I did a search for Paul Geremia and found this place... NICE!!

The search took me to an old thread about a live concert of Paul's that I have posted on a BitTorrent Tracker.  I just want to mention that I have a few Paul Geremia Live Shows. Some are soundboard, some are audience and some are from FM radio.  Paul is "taper friendly" and allows taping of his gigs at venues that will allow it especially if he's feeling good about the gig.  So if you have the gear, take it to your next show and record and share it.  Good quality live show tapes are a great way to market the artists.  The people in the tape trading world and now Bit Torrents are very conscientious about owning the official releases and/or going to the shows.

Paul is a good friend of mine and I do his website (yes it is kind of lame) but his tour dates are always updated.

I will be glad to share any of Paul's shows I have with people here via download.  It's all legal and please support him however you can if you
grab a download by buying his rekkids, CDs and DVDs, buy him a dinner, give him a place to stay, help book a gig.  As mentioned in the old thread, Paul deserves much better than he gets and appreciates anything people can do for the cause.

FWIW I also have loads of other blues and folk artist live shows audio and video from the 1960s up to the present.  Including Kottke, Fahey, Van Ronk, Lightning Hopkins, Goodman, Taj, Bromberg, Cooder, Mississippi John Hurt, Rev Gary Davis and many more.

Nice to hear that you are supporter of the great Paul Geremia! He deserves a lot more attention for his fine music and wonderful guitar playing. Here are the tags for Paul Geremia threads at this forum:

Thanks for the welcome.  I've been playing myself for a long time.  I grew up in Newport and have known Paul since I was in Jr. High.  He was the first finger style player that I saw up close.

Well, there was a project that seems to have stalled.

It's rough out there doing what he does and it's also tough on rekkid labels.
The business end of things is so much different than even a few years ago.

He needs all the support he can get!... and he sincerely appreciates it.
