Title: Tommy Johnson's "Canned Heat Blues" on blues-harp
Post by: Jay Bee Rodriguez on March 26, 2011, 06:07:09 PM
I did this cover of the great Tommy Johnson's tune just playing with myself (first takes both on guitar and dubbed harmonica), in the key of D. I've enclosed the recording on my album "Some Hot Blues Harp - Jazz Classics for Amplified Harmonica", mainly devoted to covers of early Louis Armstrong's tunes (free download at http://solo-blues.blogspot.com/). I did the utube clip with old, 1930's pictures by master Walker Evans.
