Hi, just learnin this one ... tricky! any help would be appreciated as always ...

i looked up 'Padllin' Madeline Home' the song KA's tune is based on it seems.. and it wasnt much help with lyrics i'm afraid .. so here's what i got so far,, ive taken some wild stabs at some lines lol - numbers  indicate at what point of track lyrics and asides begin and finish

For "hauling like drivers" I hear "falling like showers." However, "blues fell/falling like showers of rain" is a commonlace, so my mind may be filling this one in.

As for ..."nerve to keep me from her door," I can't come up with anything better--or hear anything different.

Hi all,
Kokomo Arnold's "Sissy Man Blues" was included on the eighth Tefteller calendar CD.  Like the majority of Kokomo Arnold's songs it sounds to have been played lap-style with a slide in Vestapol tuning.  He really is exuberant on this cut and is in Tommy McClennan's class for self-exhortation.  All of Kokomo's spoken asides are shown parenthetically in the transcription.  For what it's worth, he pronounced "Kokomo", "Kokeemo".  Church bells "toning" occur about as often in blues lyrics as do church bells "tolling".
