just messing around playing a Lead Belly work song. I am playing out of A and E but I suspect he may have been tuned way down and playing out of D and A.

tuned down to B and playing outta D - yessir. Great tune and nice playing!

Thanks for the confirmation Frank, I thought so.  Playing it out of standard tuning makes it much more likely I'll continue playing it.  Unless of course I buy a 12 string and keep it tuned way down in the. B graveyard.

Yeah I have yet to find a guitar that could handle being tuned as low as Leadbelly did it but I want to find a 12 string that can do it. It sounds great when you hear someone tuned that low with very heavy strings.
