Del Rey Workshop/Concert

DEL REY - Blue Uke  SATURDAY April 12th  12 Noon
TWO HOUR WORKSHOP $60
and Boogie Woogie Guitar SATURDAY April 12th  3 PM
TWO HOUR WORKSHOP $60
Del Rey's guitar playing combines country blues, stride piano, classic jazz and hillbilly boogie through the sensibility of an autodidact trailor-park esthete. Her live show is full of complex guitar grooves and sly humor. She collaborates and tours frequently with Austin guitarist Steve James and she plays ukulele with Ukeshack . Since 2004 she has been collaborating with Maria Mulduar on tributes to Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Johnny Cash, and she is featured on Ms. Muldaur's cd Sweet Lovin' Old Soul. Del Rey also writes about music for various publications, including Acoustic Guitar.

Del Rey will appear at THE GOOD COFFEE HOUSE ON Fiday April 11th at 8PM

You are SO OUT OF IT!

I wanted to make sure you are aware of the four fantastic workshop events I'll be hosting in the coming weeks. These are all intimate group lessons (12 participants max) in New York's Flatiron District. Three of my favorite artists will be heading into our great city between March 14th and April 16th. They will each conduct a workshop or two during their east coast tours.

You know, I go away from my computer for a few days . . . . . .

The Good Coffee House is the oldest running acoustic blues program in NYC. Housed in a very cool Ethical Culture Society building from the 1880's. Rev. Gary Davis used to play there in the sixties. Today the "Traveling Troubadour Series" has brought Ari Eisinger, Mike Dowling, Steve James, Paul Geremia, Nick Katzman, David Laibman, Mary Flower and Del Rey to NY on a regular basis.

But more importantly, Who's Signing Up For The Workshop?
