Weenie Guernsey - a selection.. part 1
« on: April 17, 2007, 02:06:45 PM »
These were all recorded on my Edirol R09, by the hi-tech method of just letting it sit there on chair in front of the performers - I can't stress how pleased I am with this thing, the quality is fantastic. However, in order to get them posted here I have reduced them down to 32000hz at 32kbps so quality has suffered.

I'll do each little section in a new post to make it easier for me.

Now, if you were one of those performing and want the original version please pm me with an email address and I'll send you a copy of the 128kbps stero file.

Right, sitting comfortably... I have to say I can't remember all the titles, so in performance order a fine start with the dynamic duo who I got to play a couple of tunes while things were quiet -

First Wax with Prof Scratch  and then Prof Scratchy with Wax

Oh, this damn thing file size too large etc..  >:(

Try again. Smile

I have to do this one file at time by the look of it... sorry

Here is the first of the trio's. It's worth adding that nobody really ran through anything till they hit the stand on the big night !

The last of the diy recordings I have, I am sorry to say but the one with Wax has got lost or something   :-X but as a consolation listen to Tom Doughty playing my squareneck on this one, why can't I play like that  ::)

Solo performances..... here we have Norfolk Slim followed by the second part of a Natterjack number who was, as I recall playing with Scratchy's amazing Tonk. I understand you can have you Tonk operated on now....

Penultimate post, a scratch band (hahaha) late on after a drink or two and quality really reduced to get it on here.
I think, Blueshome, Liam. Graham, Scratch ?? and yours truly on brushes on harp box....  :-X

Tremendous fun! So pleased to hear a Jesse Fuller tune in there, too, one of my faves. More later when I get a moment to type...
