I've just finished and posted an article on the life and times of OKeh recording artist Sylvester Weaver, who in 1923 became the first person to record blues guitar. Luckily, virtually every recording he played on is now available online or through Document Records, so I was able to fold in new info. If you want to see it, here's a link: http://jasobrecht.com/sylvester-weaver-blues-guitarist-record/

My articles on early blues musicians don't get anywhere near the hits that interviews with rock stars do, but they're closer to my heart!
