Bye-Bye Mandolin Brothers
« on: November 23, 2015, 04:20:38 PM »
I grew up five blocks from this business, though I was decades away from picking up a guitar for the first time. In the 90s when I went back east to visit the old homestead, I spent a lot of time here.

This is one case where I don't think you'll pick up any going-out-of-business bargains.

It was very sad to see this iconic store close. I guess that with Stan's passing last year it was only a matter of time. Stan Jay spent many hours showing  and teaching me about the vintage guitars that I have loved for most of my life. R.I.P. Stan....
