Blues are the songs of despair, but gospel songs are the songs of hope - Mahalia Jackson

Or are you just cruisin' for a brusin'. Actually, since a guitar like that would be pretty hard to find, and if you wanted something flashy, it might be worth a try. My estimation is that it might be almost unplayable. Watch him play and start switching necks (at 0.38 and further)
My friend Mr.Natural used to have one too - had to bite my lip when he showed it to me many years ago - he sold it and to his regrets as it became quite collectable. dj
I took frankie's post as a dare and watched the whole thing too. Ummm... not really my cup of tea. I think it's because the drummer didn't use enough cowbell.
I took frankie's post as a dare and watched the whole thing too. did it also have this effect on you? Ummm... not really my cup of tea. I think it's because the drummer didn't use enough cowbell. that has to be the only thing the drummer DIDN'T use. What is this - the torture thread?
Hmm, couldn't do the whole thing myself -- disappointed to hear about the cowbell however. Do you suppose Mclaughlin dialed in the worst tone possible on both necks, on purpose? Nice inlay though... I think O'Muck has some tough choices for that lamp base. And some people think guitar players hold their mouths funny... or double funny as the case may be.
Well you ain't seen nothing yet.
Here's Stanley Jordan playing, not only two necks, but two whole guitars, simultaneously: I think I will not try and transcribe this... Do you know, it's certainly rum, if not positively uncanny, but pretty much the same thing happened to me.I took frankie's post as a dare and watched the whole thing too. sustaireblues
Yeah, I've been working on that Stanley Jordan piece all evening, it's a little rough to get it all.
And I think I'll wait until tomorrow to work out that bass piece! Joe OK, perhaps I spoke too soon...

Until today, I never realized that Stefan Wirz has a page dedicated to double-necks . . . go to http://www.wirz.de/music/american.htm and along the top you'll see links to ||| American Music ||| Tuba ||| Doubleneck guitars on LP/CD covers ||| etc. etc. Look for the dinosaur bones, it's just below and to the left. Lindy Nothing will ever touch the dueling doublenecks of Xanadu. I love my country blues, but when it comes to Rock - wow - this is it!!!
