Thanks, Michael. That was a real treat. Fred Gwynne was a talented guy. Most of us probably only know him from "Car 54" and "The Munsters," but he had a much wider range. Navy vet, Harvard grad, dramatic stage actor, singer, musician, and writer of children's literature (we probably still have a couple of his books around somewhere). I remember reading and seeing some of the tributes to him after he passed away--an impressive life.

Officer Muldoon and Officer Toody, never forget character names like that. The actor who played the latter was also in the Phil Silvers Show in the late 50s. Damned if I can think of his name...sorry I seem to have departed to  planet nostalgia!
