Arizona Dranes - He is my story
Paolo Diliberto:
Hi, everybody!
I'm looking for the lyrics of Arizona Dranes' "He is my story". My italian Ears don't allow me to understand what she's singing.
Can you help me?
Thanks.
Johnm:
Hi Paolo,
Welcome to Weenie Campbell! It is customary here to post a video of any song for which you're requesting assistance in transcribing the lyrics. Here is a video of Arizona Dranes' performance of "He Is My Story":
It's also expected that persons requesting help with lyrics post anything they've been able to figure out of the lyrics so far. I understand that English is your second language, so that makes it more difficult, for sure.
All best,
Johnm
Johnm:
Hi all,
I'll try to get a start on "He Is My Story". I"d appreciate help with the places I leave blank or have wrong.
He Is My Story--Arizona Dranes
INTRO
Onward today I am going, be in my Savior's bright smile
Joy in my heart overflowing, happy am I all the while
Telling the tender old story, Christ and His love I proclaim
He is my song and my story, bless His name
CHORUS: He is my story, He is my song
Sweetly, I praise Him, all the day long
Ever His mercy, I will proclaim
Until I behold Him in glory, bless His Name
CHORUS
SOLO
Out from the blackness He brought me, up to the kingdom of love
Into His glorious presence, shelter me from above
All of the love and salvation, honor and praise to His name
He is my song and my story, bless His name
CHORUS
Edited, 9/30 to pick up changes from Old Man Ned, banjochris, waxwing
Edited 10/1 to pick up change from banjochris
All best,
Johnm
Old Man Ned:
Here's what I'm hearing in some of the gaps:
1st verse, 1st line:
[.?. like today] I am going, be in my Savior's bright smile
Stumped by the missing bit on the 3rd line :-(
Third line of the chorus
[ Given ] His mercy, I will proclaim
Last verse, 2nd & 3rd lines:
[ Into] His glorious presence, shelter me from above
[ All ] of the love submission, honor and praise to His name
All the best, Old Man Ned
dj:
I think the third line of the chorus is "Ever His mercy, I will proclaim". "Ever" is pronounced "Evah".
The second line of the last verse would make sense if it were "Into His glorious presence, shepherd me from above", but I can't make the sounds Ms. Dranes is singing fit "shepherd".
Hey, Paolo, don't feel bad - our American ears are having a heck of a hard time understanding what's she's singing. ;D
