Lead Belly's After All Has been Said and Done
« on: September 26, 2013, 10:23:05 AM »
Hi,

If you've ever heard Mike Seeger's Southern Guitar Styles cd you might recall that the Lead Belly tune he features is pretty much unavailable in the original Lead Belly version.

Mike Seeger cites the source as a Minnesota house party in 1948 and there is a Document disk for a Minneapolis Party dated 11/21/48.  The title doesn't show up in the track listing for that song however--does anyone know if there are other recording of his trip through Minnesota that fall and has anyone ever heard Lead Belly's version of After All is Said and Done?

thanks--

If you create a Myspace or Spotify account they have the whole Minnesota Party recordings on there plus tooooons of other music that I can't find anywhere else. Spotify is the better of the two.
