There is a fine article on Blind Joe Taggart's Presto record from 1948 in the latest edition of Blues & Rhythm: "The Story Of Blind Joe Taggart's Presto record" by Alex van der Tuuk.

Robert was loading his gear into the van when he dropped an amplifier onto his left hand and broke his forefinger. The second night he just reinvented all his chords for three fingers. Most amazing thing I ever did see - Robert Junior Lockwood, by Chris Smith on prewarblues list

I see that they are on the CD that comes with the 2012 Blues Calendar. Along with many other great sides including one of my favorite all-time ones, Ida Cox's Fogyism.
I was pleasantly surprised when i heard the Taggart presto on the blues images calendar.I`d heard the the record described as "wrecked" but it sounded much clearer than i expected. It`s a great record, great performances.
