Gig at the Red Lion Winter Cross Sunday 8th April
« on: April 10, 2012, 12:42:30 PM »
My b/f did a gig at the above pub on that day - and whilst it wasn't really a blues gig it went well - there were supposed to be 2 bands - The Bucket Band (who only meet for charity gigs - hence the title) and The Malvern Hillbillies.

However both bands turned up minus a couple of members so they ended up playing together - called themselves The Bucket Hillbillies.....

I was on the sound mixer - which was a bit of a problem as the Hillbillies only play miked up where The Bucket Band all have DI boxes - but the sound was pretty good.

It was mainly crowdpleasing stuff - but the Hillbillies were much more old-timey than The Bucket Band.

Wild About My Lovin is the nearest they got to blues.
