It wasn't so much that I would ask them how to play. A lot of the stuff I knew from old records.... What they usually talked to me about was how to conduct myself as a person. They tried to keep me away from all the things they went through. They tried to keep my nose clean, and they succeeded pretty good - Jerry Ricks, on time spent with the Old Ones, interview in Blues Review No. 46, April 1999

Dave, as far as I recall, this one was sold out, Lightnin' didn't even have any more copies, and the label was not going to produce anymore, so it's out of print. So your only hope is watching the used shops online. You could try contacting Lightnin' through his website, and checking the facts with him though. Maybe things have changed.

Hi all,
I was listening to the Weenie Juke last week and a tune off Lightnin' Wells Ragtime Millionaire was playing, I hit the "buy" button for the umteenth time, and Bingo...2 or 3 sellers affiliated with Amazon had it for sale. It came in the mail today, I think I paid $14.00 for a used copy.
Apparantly this stuff is still out there in the marketplace, so don't stop tryin'.
Hey Dave, I'll burn you a copy... or better yet, I'll trade you for one of your rarities, write me at my regular e-mail address.

I heard that Ragtime Millionaire is about to go through the re-issue process and should be available again as a digipack. Check Lightnin's website or go to CD Baby in a month or so to get a copy.

Hi all.

FWIW, I was yesterday ordering the new Little Brothers CD from CD Baby, and while browsing their pages, I noticed that Lightnin' Wells' Ragtime Millionaire has been reissued and is now available.

Perhaps you all already knew it, but I certainly didn't and was very happy to be able to order a copy of my own.
